Up until a couple of years ago, even though my children went everywhere with me, I had never owned a “real” diaper bag.  I couldn’t get myself to carry a clunky, pastel-colored bag around town.  As “bag-crazy” (as my son put it) as I was, I chose to carry beautiful handbags.  I chose to sacrifice “functions” for “looks.”

People liked the “diaper bags” I carried, and often asked me where I bought them.  What they didn’t know was that inside that “pretty” bag, milk bottles tilted sideway and the milk leaked onto the diapers.  Everything I put in there traded places during the trip, and it was impossible to find the thing I needed quickly enough.  In the mall bathroom, when I put down the bag to change my kid’s diaper, they bottom of the bag got wet and dirty.  Well, you got the idea. As “bag-crazy” as I was, I had to do something!

From pieces of paper with “my-son-could-have-drawn-this-better” sketches, we made beautiful handbags with fashion-forward moms and their baby in mind.  We choose long-lasting, high-quality materials so they will last long after the diapering years.  We made them with close attention to details, and with lots, lots of love.

In 2008, we were very excited to welcome our new baby girl (who I really thought was born so I can use Tuala bags!), and the launch of our new line of mommy bags, Tuala Boutique.  We love them, and hope you do too.
